"A patient once said to me, "my grandfather ate oatmeal every morning of his life and he lived to be a hundred. My response was "Do what your grandfather did."

Soon, school will be in session and our mornings will come very early. It is important to get your kids off to a good start every day. A good well balanced breakfast promotes better concentration, problem solving skills and eye-hand coordination.

So, with that being said, what is a good breakfast for your child.
Oatmeal is a good option. Known for its high fiber content, 1 cup of oatmeal contains 12 grams of fiber. This accounts for almost 50 % of the recommended daily amount. Sweeten it with some berries, maybe a dash of vanilla and you will get your child off to a good healthy start.

Oatmeal digests slowly providing the brain with a steady stream of energy aiding in memory and attention span.

"You have to eat oatmeal or you'll dry up. Anybody knows that." Kay Thompson

Try a little oatmeal out on your child for breakfast. It is one of the breakfast super foods.
