Tips for children and Families
*Start the day with breakfast.
*Start the morning off with a glass of water to replenish cells.
*Set a good example by serving a variety of foods.
*Eat slowly, it is easier to tell if your hungry or full when you eat slowly.
*Aim for at least 5 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
*Eat more whole grains, try to eat at least 3 ounces of whole grain every day.
*Drink plenty of fluids during the day, select water, low fat free milk or tea.
*Make sure you as a parent get at least 20 minutes of exercise 3 to 5 times a week.
